The Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan organized a conference dedicated to the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, which is celebrated in the country on the last Sunday of April.
The event was attended by creative workers, representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the State Association “Türkmen atlary” (“Turkmen Horses”), employees of the Bereketli Garagum Nature Reserve, and horse breeders.
The event was organized by the National Center of Trade Unions and the State Association “Türkmen atlary”, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
In Turkmenistan, large-scale work is being carried out to preserve the gene pool of purebred Akhal-Teke horses, increase their population, and much attention is paid to the standard of living of horse breeders. The country has introduced the honorary titles of “Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan”, “Master Mentor and Rider of Turkmenistan”, “People’s Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan”.
The conference participants also noted the success of the Galkynysh National Equestrian Games Group.
Following the conference, the distinguished horse breeders were awarded certificates of honor and memorable gifts from the event organizers.
