The international competitions in national wrestling and belt wrestling “Alysh” will be held in the Olympic town of Ashgabat from April 22 to 25 this year. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva reported on the preparations for this sporting event, TDH reports.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, a special working group has been created under the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, which includes representatives of relevant ministries and industry departments. Organizational work is currently underway in accordance with the approved plan of events.
It is expected that numerous sports delegations from different countries will take part in the upcoming international tournament.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, having heard the report, emphasized the importance of effective work on the development of Turkmen sports at the global level and further enhancing the country’s international sports authority. The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high level of preparation and holding of international competitions that will take place in the Martial Arts Sports Complex of the Olympic Village in Ashgabat.
