The Turkmenistan national team has risen to 142nd place in the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) ranking, the new version of which was published on Thursday on the official website of the organization.
In March, the Turkmenistan national team played an away match of the 2027 Asian Cup qualification against the Chinese Taipei team, winning it with a score of 2:1. The Turkmen team has 1076.13 points.
In the updated FIFA ranking, the national team of Turkmenistan is located between the Faroe Islands (141st place) and Lithuania (143rd place). A total of 211 national teams are represented in the ranking.
The current world champion Argentina retains its leading position in the world ranking. The second line is occupied by the Spanish team, which is the current European champion and ahead of the French team. The fourth and fifth places are occupied by the England and Brazil teams, respectively.
Among the Asian teams, Japan holds the highest position in the ranking (15th place). The top three Asian teams also include Iran (18th place) and the Republic of Korea (23rd place).
