National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during his working visit to the Balkan velayat, got acquainted with the progress of construction of the new international airport in the village of Jebel. The air harbor, which is in the final stage of construction, is designed to strengthen the country's transport and transit potential and increase the volume of cargo and passenger traffic. During the inspection, a test landing of the aircraft took place to test the runway.
2. The volume of transit cargo through the territory of Turkmenistan amounted to 417 340 tons, the number of landings of transit aircraft exceeded 5 960. This became known during the working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to the Balkan velayat. A significant role in increasing the volume of international cargo transportation was played by the intergovernmental agreement on air traffic between Turkmenistan and Luxembourg signed in April 2015. As a result, the largest European airline Cargolux began to carry out cargo transportation on the Luxembourg-Turkmenbashy route.
3. Turkmenistan actively participates in the implementation of international transport corridors, including the Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) and Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey routes. These projects contribute to strengthening the country's authority on the world stage as an important transport and logistics center of regional and continental significance.
4. Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovlet Seyitmammedov held a meeting with the head of the information service of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) Eka Shonia, during which the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the media of the two countries. The dynamic nature of Turkmen-Georgian relations was noted at the meeting. Particular attention was paid to the cultural and humanitarian sphere of cooperation.

5. Chairman of the “Türkmenhowaýollary” (“Turkmen” Airlines) Agency Dovran Saburov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat. 2. The White House is planning to remove a magnolia tree planted about 200 years ago by the seventh US President Andrew Jackson. Donald Trump announced this on his social network Truth Social. The current head of state justified his decision by the "terrible condition" of the tree and the potential danger it poses near the presidential residence. Trump said the magnolia tree will be cut down next week, and a new “very beautiful tree” will be planted in its place.
