During the holy month of Ramadan, the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Ashgabat organized a festive iftar, which became a significant platform for intercultural dialogue, bringing together representatives of the diplomatic corps, including Chargé d'Affaires Nawaf Al-Rashid, Mufti of Turkmenistan Yalkap Hojagulyev and heads of diplomatic missions.
Guests were presented with a rich and varied culinary choice reflecting the traditions of Arabic cuisine. The menu included Saudi dates with tahini, shofan soup, appetizers - hummus, labneh, fattoush, as well as olives of various varieties.
The main courses highlighted the national cuisine: mandi - the famous Saudi dish with smoked lamb and rice, as well as tender chicken fillet with creamy mushroom sauce. Desserts completed the meal - Umm Ali pudding with nuts and raisins, ice cream with pistachios.
At the end of the event, the Saudi diplomat presented the Mufti of Turkmenistan with a memorable gift - a portrait depicting one of the holy sites of Saudi Arabia, which emphasized the spiritual closeness and mutual respect between the two countries.
