Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received an invitation to attend the International Forum of Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12 in Turkmenistan. The invitation was conveyed on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov through the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Yerevan Muhammetgeldi Ayazov during a meeting with the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The forum is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and is being held within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust. At the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral relations in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, and transport and communications spheres.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of improving the legal framework of Turkmen-Armenian cooperation. The meeting participants noted the symbolism of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's acquisition of permanent neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the UN.
The prospects for increasing trade turnover between the two countries using Turkmenistan's transport and logistics potential were also discussed.
