Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey M. Ishangulyev took part in the 5th meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), which was held in Istanbul on March 12.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the event was attended by deputy heads of the foreign policy departments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Ambassador of Hungary to Turkey, the secretaries general of the OTG, TURKSOY and TURKPA, the heads of the Turkic Academy, the Foundation for Turkic Culture and Heritage, the Turkic Investment Fund.
The participants discussed the implementation of decisions taken at the 11th Summit of the United Territory, joint activities within the organization and the Action Plan for 2025.
Also, during the meeting, the heads of affiliated international organizations of the United Territory presented reports on their activities in 2024.
In his speech, M. Ishangulyev focused on the relevance of the topic of peace and trust and familiarized the participants in detail with the activities carried out in Turkmenistan in this direction. He emphasized the symbolism of the fact that in 2025 the country celebrates the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality, which is the basis for promoting dialogue, strengthening international cooperation and ensuring sustainable peace.
