The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan organized a briefing dedicated to two significant events – the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust on the initiative of Turkmenistan and the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
During the event, special attention was paid to the UN General Assembly Resolution proclaiming 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. This initiative of Turkmenistan is a logical continuation of the philosophy of interstate relations developed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The briefing participants were informed about the planned events for the coming year within the framework of this international initiative.
It is noteworthy that 2025 marks 30 years since Turkmenistan declared permanent neutrality, the status of which was enshrined in UN General Assembly resolutions in 1995 and 2015.
The briefing also noted the symbolism of the coincidence in 2025 of two significant dates – the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations.
