Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng noted in an interview with the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's acquisition of permanent neutrality status. The country adheres to an active neutral foreign policy, deepening and expanding friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the states of the world, actively participating in international affairs, putting forward a number of initiatives within the UN and other international organizations. It was on the initiative of the Turkmen side that the UN General Assembly adopted a Resolution declaring 2025 the "International Year of Peace and Trust".
“China, as a full-fledged strategic partner, is ready to actively support the Turkmen side in holding events this year and, together with the Turkmen side, make efforts to make a new important contribution to promoting global peace, sustainable development and trust between states,” the ambassador said.
Let us remind that yesterday Turkmenistan celebrated Diplomatic Worker's Day. In honor of the holiday, a conference was held in Ashgabat, which brought together the entire diplomatic corps on one site.
