On the second day of the 29th International Sambo Tournament for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Turkmen athletes showed the following results.
In sports sambo among women, Zarina Abdurahmanova took third place in the weight category up to 54 kg. In the men’s tournament, Bakhtiyar Bahramov won bronze in the weight category up to 79 kg.
In combat sambo, Kadyrjan Gafurov, Kerim Kerimov and Isa Arslanov took the entire podium in the weight category up to 71 kg, winning gold, silver and bronze, respectively. In the weight category up to 58 kg, Ahmet Tanriberdiev received a silver medal, and Alehan Aidogdiev – bronze.
In total, on the second day of the competition, Turkmen sambo wrestlers won seven medals: one gold, two silver and five bronze medals.
Turkmen athletes won 13 medals during the entire competition.
