The Turkmenistan women’s futsal team tied with the Kyrgyzstan team in the first round of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Championship in Dushanbe.
The match, which took place on Sunday, ended with a score of 1:1. Lale Haipova scored for Turkmenistan.
In another match of the day, the Iranian team defeated the Uzbekistan team – 9:0.
The matches of the next, second round of CAFA-2025 among women’s national teams will be held on February 10. On this day, the Turkmenistan team will play with the Uzbekistan team, and the futsal players of Kyrgyzstan will meet with rivals from Tajikistan.
The tournament is held in a round robin system. The winner will be determined by the highest number of points scored.
It is worth noting that this is the fourth CAFA Futsal Championship among women’s national teams. The tournament was established in 2022. In 2022 and 2024, the CAFA Women’s Futsal Championship was held in Dushanbe, and in 2023 in Tashkent. The Iranian women’s futsal team won all tournaments.
