1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution approving the composition of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation from the Turkmen side. Earlier it was reported that the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Ashgabat on February 19-20.

2. Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on his birthday. Noting that Turkmenistan highly values friendly relations with Japan, the head of state expressed firm confidence in the further development and strengthening of these relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

3. “Turkmenistan” Airlines has extended the suspension of flights from Ashgabat to Moscow until February 28. To arrange a ticket refund, the company asks to contact the place where the tickets were purchased.

4. During his visit to Astana, Turkmenistan Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Tokayev highly praised the level of development of Kazakh-Turkmen relations in all areas in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership. He also stated that Kazakhstan intends to continue to provide strong support for the implementation of Turkmenistan's international initiatives.

5. Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Moscow Esen Aydogdyev participated in the traditional meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with ambassadors of the CIS member states, where the results of cooperation for 2024 and plans for the coming period were discussed. The main focus was on strengthening foreign policy coordination, expanding trade and economic cooperation and interaction in the field of security.

6. Leading Turkmen confectionery companies presented their products at the international exhibition “Prodexpo-2025”, which opened in Moscow's “Expocentre”. Famous brands Akgar, Balam, Hasar, Ýüpekçi, Kilwan, Bars and Täze aý demonstrate a wide range of products - from chocolates and bars to soft drinks and various types of sugar.

7. The world's first comprehensive law regulating the use of artificial intelligence technologies has come into force in the European Union. The new rules set clear boundaries for the use of AI and provide for serious sanctions for violating them. The regulation prohibits the use of AI technologies that could pose a potential threat to the rights of citizens. The ban includes social rating systems, real-time facial recognition technologies, as well as AI systems that classify people according to various characteristics. In addition, the law limits the use of manipulative AI technologies.

8. In a nature reserve near the Brdy mountain range, 60 kilometers from the Czech capital, an amazing case of natural efficiency occurred. A family of beavers built a dam in the exact place where local authorities had been planning to build an artificial structure since 2018. Thanks to the natural builders, the budget saved about 30 million Czech crowns.

9. “Ahal” Football Club from Anau plans to launch a children's football academy in the spring of 2025. Within the framework of its new projects, the club also plans to create a women's team and a men's futsal team. The goal of these projects is to develop youth and women's football in the country, as well as to popularize futsal. The projects are aimed at attracting new talents and providing opportunities for the development and professional growth of young athletes.
