In the first round of the men's hockey tournament at the 9th Asian Winter Games held in Harbin, the Chinese Hong Kong hockey players won a crushing victory over the Chinese Macau team with a score of 26:1. The meeting was held within group “C”, where the national teams of Turkmenistan and India also compete.
The Turkmenistan team will play its first match at the tournament on February 5 against the Macau team, on February 6 it will meet with Indian hockey players, and will complete the group stage on February 9 with a meeting with the Hong Kong team.
In other matches of the day, the Kyrgyz team won in overtime over the Kuwait team with a score of 9:8, and the Singapore team defeated the Bahrain team with a score of 20:1.
