According to preliminary voting results in the presidential elections in Belarus, the current head of state Alexander Lukashenko received 86,82% of the votes. According to the Central Election Commission, the remaining candidates scored less: Sergei Syrankov - 3,21%, Sergei Gaidukevich - 2,02%, Anna Kanopatskaya - 1,86%, Alexander Khizhnyak - 1,74%, against all - 3,6% votes.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko noted the high activity of citizens - the turnout was 85,70%. Exit poll data conducted by the Mir television and radio company also confirm the confident victory of the incumbent president, showing a result of 87,6%.
