A briefing was held in Ashgabat on the results of interaction between Turkmenistan and the European Union in 2024 and the prospects for developing partnership in 2025, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
The meeting was attended by representatives of ministries and industry departments of Turkmenistan, the EU Delegation and the media.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova emphasized the strategic importance of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties with the European Union.
The press conference presented key areas of cooperation, including the work of the Joint Committee “European Union – Turkmenistan”, the Inter-Parliamentary Dialogue and the Human Rights Dialogue. Particular attention was paid to the format of interaction “Central Asia – European Union”, which covers projects in the field of transport, digitalization, ecology, energy and the social sphere.
The participants of the event noted the positive dynamics of the partnership development over the past three decades and emphasized the importance of the Joint Roadmap for Deepening Ties between Central Asia and the EU.
The achievements achieved were discussed and prospects for further cooperation in various strategic areas were outlined.
