The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during an extended meeting of the State Security Council, cordially congratulated military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies on the upcoming Defenders of the Fatherland Day, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The head of state noted that every year in Turkmenistan on January 27, the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland is celebrated in a solemn atmosphere. This holiday is a clear indication of the enormous trust and boundless respect shown to military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies, as well as the care shown for them.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the sacred duty of every defender of the Fatherland is dedicated service to the Motherland, reliable protection of its independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional system, ensuring the rule of law, rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, as well as protecting the interests of society and the state.
