1. National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went on a visit to the Principality of Monaco. Before leaving, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Monaco, and emphasized that this visit will be an important stage in the development of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
2. The opening ceremony of the International Year of Peace and Trust, organized by the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN, took place at the UN headquarters in New York. The representative of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the International Year of Peace and Trust. It was noted that the International Forum of Peace and Trust is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December 2025, which will bring together participants from all over the planet to consolidate efforts and develop specific further steps to strengthen the global culture of peace.
3. Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan successfully performed at the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad in mathematics, physics and computer science, which was held in Astana. According to the results of the Olympiad, Turkmen participants won 2 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals. The Turkmen team included 21 schoolchildren under the guidance of 5 teachers.
4. Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova and Ambassador of Armenia Arsen Avagyan discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. During the official meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to develop intergovernmental dialogue on the basis of mutual respect and trust. The meeting participants paid special attention to the exchange of experience in the field of improving national legislation and parliamentary work.
5. The 47th international festival of circus arts is taking place in Monte Carlo, where the Turkmen equestrian games group “Galkynysh” is participating for the first time. Turkmen horsemen demonstrate unique performances on Ahal-Teke horses, increasing the world fame of Turkmen art and culture.
6. A cultural event dedicated to Turkmen culture was held in the Sablon gallery district in Brussels. Traditional jewelry, carpets and textiles of Turkmenistan were presented. The event attracted ambassadors, EU representatives and cultural figures. The exhibition, organized with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, became a cultural bridge between peoples.
7. Veteran of the Great Patriotic War Koshek Soltanmyradov from the city of Gubadag celebrated his 100th birthday. He was congratulated by his family, friends and representatives of local authorities. Soltanmyradov, awarded for courage and bravery, went to the front in 1943 and after the war worked in law enforcement. At the event, he was presented with valuable gifts and bouquets of flowers.
