Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny, who presented copies of his credentials.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, having congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post, R. Meredov expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of his diplomatic activities.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, noting that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus is developing on the basis of principles of mutual respect, equality and mutually beneficial partnership.
The parties also expressed their readiness to continue the practice of mutual support for initiatives within the UN, the source notes.
