China is opening its doors to foreign guests, inviting them to visit Harbin, the famous “capital of ice”, during the 2025 Asian Winter Games, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press conference in Beijing.
According to the diplomat, the upcoming Games will be the largest international sporting event in China after the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Harbin, known as the center of ice and snow tourism in the country, has already begun preparations for the large-scale event, making the upcoming Asian Games the main theme of the current winter tourism season.
“This is a great opportunity for guests from all over the world to not only watch athletes perform, but also enjoy the unique atmosphere of winter Harbin, as well as deepen cultural exchanges between peoples,” Mao Ning emphasized.
