1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on a digital system, where work plans for the main sectors of the economy for 2025 were approved.

2. Turkmenistan has adopted a new National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking for 2025–2029. The plan places particular emphasis on expanding international cooperation in this area.

3. The President of Turkmenistan decided to establish an Organizing State Committee for holding high-level events on the occasion of the declaration of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, and to approve its composition.

4. Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov sent a message to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with New Year's greetings. Beglov expressed confidence that in the new year St. Petersburg and Turkmenistan will be able to strengthen fruitful cooperation, implement new ideas and projects.

5. A new book by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, “Magtymguly – Thinker of the World,” has been published. The publication is presented in separate books in three languages – Turkmen, Russian and English. The work highlights the literary heritage of the outstanding poet, his enormous contribution to world culture, the events held on the occasion of the anniversary, as well as the high achievements and successes achieved by Turkmenistan.

6. A massive accident occurred in the Akmola region of Kazakhstan. About 95 cars collided on the road between the villages of Kogam and Karatal in the Birzhan Sal district. According to the regional police department, the cause of the accident was a sharp deterioration in weather conditions - visibility on the road was significantly limited due to a snowstorm.

7. A large space object weighing almost half a ton has crashed into Kenya. The massive metal ring, which is part of a launch vehicle, made an unexpected landing near one of the local villages. Fortunately, no local residents were hurt.

8. “Milan” beat “Juventus” 2-1 in the semi-final match of the Italian Super Cup. The tournament is taking place in Saudi Arabia. In the final, “Milan” will face “Inter”, which previously beat “Atalanta” 2-0. The decisive match for the title will be held on January 6.

9. “Real” Madrid won a comeback victory over “Valencia” with a score of 2:1 in the postponed match of the 12th round of the Spanish football championship. In the 27th minute, “Valencia” took the lead thanks to a goal by Hugo Duro. However, “Real” managed to turn the game around, with Luka Modric and Jude Bellingham scoring. This victory allowed “Real” to earn 43 points and rise to first place in the table.
