2. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the New Year's performance at the Main Christmas Tree of the country, located in the Cultural and Entertainment Center "Älem". A colorful celebration with the participation of young Turkmen citizens unfolded on the square in front of the Center. A fairy-tale kingdom spread out around the Main Christmas Tree, 44 meters high. Children from different parts of Turkmenistan were invited to the celebration, including excellent students, winners of Olympiads, sports competitions and creative competitions. 4. “Turkmenistan” Airlines announced the cancellation of Ashgabat-Moscow-Ashgabat flights from December 30, 2024 to January 31, 2025. On December 30 and 31, the airline will organize repatriation flights from Moscow to Ashgabat via Istanbul.

9. Former United States President Jimmy Carter has died at the age of 100. He passed away peacefully on December 29 at his home in Plains, Georgia, his son announced.
