Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in connection with the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane near Aktau, Kazakhstan.
“Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in connection with numerous casualties and injuries as a result of the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane.
On behalf of the people and government of the country, as well as on his own behalf, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed words of sympathy and support at this difficult moment to the families and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured,” TDH said in a statement.
An Azerbaijan Airlines plane flying from Baku to Grozny crashed on the morning of December 25 near the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan. According to the airline, there were 62 passengers and five crew members on board. According to the Kazakh Ministry of Health, 28 people survived.
