1. In Ashgabat, the main Christmas tree of Turkmenistan was lit up on the square in front of the “Alem” Cultural and Entertainment Center. Thousands of young Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital, folklore and dance groups, circus and theater artists in carnival costumes, and fairy-tale characters gathered around it in joyful anticipation of a magical performance. A New Year's procession arrived for the celebration: Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk, accompanied by their favorite fairy-tale characters. The height of the main Christmas tree of Turkmenistan is 44 meters.
2. Within the framework of a working visit to the city of Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the General Director of the French company “Bouygues Türkmen” Alexey Reshov. During the meeting, the current state and promising areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
4. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of the country on the occasion of Independence Day. In his message, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries and noted the significance of the recent official visit of the Kazakh leader to Ashgabat.
5. In Ashgabat, meetings were held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov and the ambassadors of Ethiopia and Brazil. During the talks, the prospects for developing trade and economic relations between the countries were discussed.

6. Georgia held historic presidential elections, in which Mikheil Kavelashvili, the candidate of the ruling “Georgian Dream” party, was elected president.
