President of Turkmenistan received credentials from new Armenian Ambassador

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received credentials from newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Turkmenistan Arsen Avagyan. During the meeting, the diplomat conveyed greetings and best wishes from Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, emphasizing the importance and high level of Turkmen-Armenian relations, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Ambassador Arsen Avagyan noted that it was a great honor for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan, with which Armenia has long-standing relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation. He also congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status, wishing peace and prosperity to the Turkmen people.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in turn, congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the Turkmen-Armenian dialogue. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in various areas, including trade, fuel and energy, transport and communications, as well as cultural and humanitarian projects. The presence of significant potential for expanding productive ties between the two countries was emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, Arsen Avagyan expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and assured that he would actively promote the development of the traditional dialogue of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and Armenia.
