The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova received credentials from the Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Turkmenistan Jemal Beker Abdullah, TDH reports.
During the conversation, the diplomat was informed about the main vectors of Turkmenistan's domestic policy and foreign policy course, aimed at developing mutually beneficial partnerships with all interested states of the planet, including the countries of the African continent.
During the exchange of views on the possibilities of Turkmen-Ethiopian cooperation, the trade and economic sphere and the humanitarian and cultural sphere were identified as priority areas.
The ambassador was also acquainted with the structure and activities of the Mejlis, its role in legislative support for democratic reforms initiated by the head of state.
At the end of the meeting, the diplomat assured that, representing Ethiopia in neutral Turkmenistan, whose constructive peace-loving policy has won wide international recognition and support, he will, for his part, fully contribute to strengthening the constructive interstate dialogue.
