On November 29, a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour will be held in Ashgabat, at the Mukam Palace, performed by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Rasul Klychev.
The concert entitled “Evening in Memory of the Great Charles Aznavour: 100 Years of the Legend” was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Ashgabat jointly with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The concert program includes the most famous compositions of Aznavour in symphonic arrangement.
The work of the world-famous French chansonnier, composer, poet, writer and actor of Armenian origin Charles Aznavour became a symbol of the cultural bridge between the East and the West. Having become famous as the
“French Frank Sinatra”, he left an indelible mark on world music, combining Armenian roots and French chanson.
