The governments of Russia and Belarus have reached an important agreement in the field of telecommunications, signing a document on the introduction of uniform tariffs for communication services within the Union State. This was the result of many years of work that began back in 2017, snob.ru reports with reference to the press service of the Russian government.
According to the signed resolution “On the creation of comfortable tariffs for the use of communication services and data transmission on the territory of the Union State”, from March 1, 2025, citizens of both countries will be able to use mobile communications while traveling at uniform home tariffs.
The new rules provide for a significant reduction in inter-operator tariffs. Subscribers will be able to use communication services when traveling between countries without additional roaming charges, paying for them at the same rates as in their own country.
Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko revealed details of the new tariff plan: users will receive at least 300 minutes of free incoming calls and 5 GB of mobile Internet.
