The President of Turkmenistan held a meeting of the State Security Council on the results of 10 months of 2024

The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, where the results of the activities of the military and law enforcement agencies for ten months of the current year were summed up, TDH reports.

The first to speak was the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the modernization of the technical equipment of the National Army and increasing the professionalism of military personnel.

The Prosecutor General B. Muhamedov reported on the implementation of supervision over the implementation of legislative and regulatory legal acts in force in the country. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to develop, in accordance with generally accepted norms of international law, a draft National Anti-Corruption Program in Turkmenistan for 2025-2029.

Minister of Internal Affairs M. Hydyrov reported on the specific steps taken to maintain public order, prevent crime, organize the work of the Road Inspection and Fire Safety Services in accordance with the requirements of the time. A report was also made on the opening of modern administrative buildings of technical inspection and vehicle registration groups of the Police Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in some etraps of the country’s regions during the period under review.

Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Hojamgulyev reported on the measures taken during the specified period in order to fulfill the tasks defined in the Judicial System Development Program, as well as to strengthen the material and technical base of the department and human resources. A draft Decree on the appointment and dismissal of judges of the courts of Turkmenistan and the assignment of qualification classes to them was also submitted to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country.

The head of state signed the Decree “On the appointment and dismissal of judges of the courts of Turkmenistan from positions, as well as on the assignment of qualification classes to them.”

Minister of National Security N. Atagarayev reported on the practical steps taken to maintain security and peace in the country. A report was also made on the widespread use of modern technical means in the units, and the measures taken to improve the professionalism of the employees.

The Chief of the State Border Service Ya. Nuryev reported on the measures taken to ensure reliable protection of the sacred borders of the Fatherland. Along with this, a report was made on the progress of modernization of the material and technical base of the Border Troops, the work carried out to improve the professional skills of career officers and young border guards.

The Minister of Justice M. Taganov reported on the practical steps taken to introduce a digital system in structural units, as well as on the implementation of instructions previously given by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country.


Chairman of the State Customs Service M.Hudaykulyev reported on the measures taken to properly implement the instructions previously given by the President of the country.

After hearing the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan noted that proper customs control should be carried out at the checkpoints of the State Border. The Head of State also emphasized the need to strengthen the work to prevent violations of customs rules at border checkpoints through the effective use of modern technical means and gave relevant instructions in this regard.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the issues of statelessness. The head of the State Migration Service A.Sazakov was instructed to organize a regional conference on this issue jointly with the UN on November 8 in Ashgabat.

Summarizing the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that all measures taken are consistent with the country’s defensive Military Doctrine and are aimed at ensuring the security of an independent neutral state.
