The Permanent Representatives of Turkmenistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein to the UN signed a Joint Communiqué in New York on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states. The ceremony took place at the office of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, the Foreign Ministry reports.
During the meeting, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan Aksoltan Atayeva and Representative of Liechtenstein Christian Wenaweser discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
The parties paid special attention to issues of cooperation within the UN, including the topics of strengthening peace, preventive diplomacy and the development of international sports relations.
