Yesterday, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Advisor, Head of the IMF Mission for Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, Anna Rose Bordon.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of cooperation.
During the negotiations, the commitment to strengthening interaction was emphasized, including on issues related to Turkmenistan’s intention to join the World Trade Organization. Since 2022, Turkmenistan has the status of an acceding country (“active observer”). In this regard, the importance of providing advisory support to the IMF was noted.
