The International Competition of Scientific Project Works “Agroinnovations: A Bright Path to Sustainable Development” has begun its work at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, located in the administrative center of the Dashoguz velayat. Students from higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, as well as from neighboring and distant countries, are taking part in the competition, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The competition began with an exhibition of the achievements of Turkmenistan's agricultural sector, followed by a video presentation highlighting the importance of the symbiosis of science and education to achieve common goals.

Speakers at the opening noted that the competition is not just a competition, but a platform for exchanging ideas and generating new scientific discoveries. International cooperation in agriculture is becoming increasingly important in light of global challenges such as climate change and environmental well-being. The exchange of experience and technology helps find effective solutions to ensure food security and sustainable development of rural areas.

The competition is held in two stages. At the first stage, the panel of judges analyzed all the submitted works. At the second stage, 150 best projects were presented to a competent jury. The works are divided into three areas: agricultural projects, IT projects and business projects. The participants include students from 26 universities in nine countries, including Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Japan, Botswana and Germany. Turkmen student youth are represented by 100 works from 16 universities of the country.

Over the course of two days, participants will present their projects online to the Central Organizing Working Group, which includes representatives of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, and prominent scientists. The winners will be determined based on the total score for the criteria of relevance, content, mass character, replicability, environmental impact, and novelty of the project.

The results of the competition will be announced on October 17, and the winners will receive diplomas and commemorative prizes.
