An unusual trend is gaining popularity in China: pet owners send their pets to work in specialized cafes. This practice permits dogs and cats to spend time in an interesting environment while their owners are busy, writes “MIR 24”.

Jane Xue, a 27 years old graduate student, shared her experience with CNN. Since September, she has been regularly sending her two-year-old Samoyed to a cafe where he is in the company of other animals. This solution not only ensures the pet’s comfort, but also allows the owner to save on air conditioning on hot days.

In China, the pet cafe industry is well developed. Visitors pay about 8,50 USD to enter. Pets can “work” full or part-time, just like real employees. Interestingly, before hiring, owners must post their pet’s resume on social media.
