Turkmenistan is actively developing its economy and is looking for new ways to increase independence and sustainability in the production of various goods.
In this context, a joint project with the South Korean company Korea Meditech, aimed at setting up the production of disposable medical products, namely syringes from local polypropylene, was a significant step. This was reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
As part of the project, Turkmen specialists successfully manufactured test models of 3 ml and 10 ml syringes made from local raw materials.
The tests confirmed that this raw material is suitable for the manufacture of medical products, and in the future, the possibility of organizing serial production of syringes and other disposable medical products in Turkmenistan is being considered. At the same time, the use of local raw materials will account for 60-70% of the total volume of materials.
This will increase the level of self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imports, the source notes.
