Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh will make a state visit to Turkmenistan for the first time in the history of bilateral relations from October 10 to 13. This is the first high-level visit between the two countries since diplomatic relations were established in 1992. This was reported by the “Orient” website with reference to the press service of the President of Mongolia.
At the invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Mongolian leader will hold official talks aimed at expanding and developing friendly relations between the states. The program of the visit also includes a meeting with the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, where issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction in the regional and international arenas will be discussed.
A special item on Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh's schedule will be participation in the international forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development”, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. The President of Mongolia will speak at the forum as an honorary guest.
