On October 3, a scientific and practical conference entitled “300 years of the classic of oriental poetry Magtymguly Fragi” was held in Bishkek, within the framework of which a presentation of a collection of poems by the Turkmen poet, translated into the Kyrgyz language, was held.
The event was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic N. Golliyev, as well as deputy ministers of culture, information, sports and youth policy, education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic, faculty of leading universities in Bishkek, creative intelligentsia and media representatives. This was reported in the press release of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kyrgyzstan.
Speaking to the conference participants, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized the enormous role of the founder of Turkmen classical literature, Magtymguly Fragi, whose creative heritage, being an invaluable national treasure of the Turkmen people, has become an integral part of the treasury of world culture.
Soloists of the Bishkek City Orchestra of Folk Instruments performed a new song in the Kyrgyz language with lyrics by Magtymguly Fragi “At-Kerek” and music by composer, publicist and People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic T. Kazakov.
