A festive parade dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence has begun in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat. The ceremonial event is taking place in front of the State Tribune Complex.
A flower-laying ceremony at the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan took place early in the morning, and the day before, ceremonies honoring the best employees of enterprises, organizations and institutions were held in the capital. According to the Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a group of citizens were awarded orders, medals and honorary titles for special services to the state and society.
The festive parade can be watched live on the National Television of Turkmenistan.
