President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an order on the transfer of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, including baby food, food products, wheat, urea, diesel fuel, gasoline and cement.
As reported by TDH, the aid was provided at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and is timed to coincide with the laying of a section of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline on the Turkmen-Afghan border.
This action continues Turkmenistan's long-standing efforts to support Afghanistan and strengthen friendship between the peoples. Neutral Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Afghanistan and the maintenance of peaceful life in the country.
Representatives of both countries took part in the ceremony of transferring the humanitarian aid. Residents of Afghanistan expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their constant assistance and support.
