Russian specialists from Turkmenistan became laureates of the International Pushkin Competition

Four teachers of Russian language and literature from Turkmenistan became laureates of the XXIV International Pushkin Competition for foreign Russian scholars.

As “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports, these are: Aysapar Sazakova from specialized secondary school No. 2 with in-depth study of foreign languages in the city of Dashoguz; Maral Ovezova from secondary school No. 58 of Boldumsaz etrap, Dashoguz velayat; Jahan Amirkulova from secondary school No. 25 of the Charjev district of Lebap velayat; Gulbahar Asadullayeva from secondary school No. 24 in the city of Turkmenabat.

The award ceremony for the laureates took place in Moscow.

This year the competition was held under the auspices of the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin. In their creative works, the contestants reflected on the topic: “Pushkin is our everything. And what? Does the new generation need a Russian genius?

The jury selected the best 50 out of 239 entries. Thus, teachers from 19 countries were personally awarded special diplomas of the competition.

The winners took part in a five-day excursion program around Moscow, during which they visited the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin, editorial office of the "Rossiyskaya gazeta".

At the State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkin, they took part in a lecture on the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language, the source notes.
