Hulu has started production on the final season of the popular series The Handmaid's Tale. Information about the start of filming the sixth season has spread in the media and social networks, where a photo of the leading actress Elisabeth Moss with a clapperboard appeared, Film.ru reports with reference to The Hollywood Reporter.
Moss, known for her role as June Osborne, will also direct the first episode of the final season. The premiere is expected in 2025. The series, based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, began its journey in 2017 and during this time has won numerous awards, including 15 Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes.
In addition to Moss, the cast includes Yvonne Strahovski, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd and Joseph Fiennes. Filming of the final season was postponed due to the writers' and actors' strikes in Hollywood last year.
