On the Day of Knowledge and Students, it is planned to open five new educational institutions in Turkmenistan. Among them are a secondary school for 1200 places in Ahal velayat, 2 secondary schools for 1360 places in Lebap velayat, a kindergarten for 160 places and a secondary school for 500 places in Mary velayat, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
This information was presented at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, where preparations for the new 2024-2025 academic year were discussed. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the results of work for January-July of this year and plans for Knowledge Day.
According to the report, on September 1, various ceremonial events will be held in the country, including at the Independence Monument, at the Pedagogical Secondary Vocational School named after Berdimuhamed Annayev in the city of Arkadag and at the 27th secondary school in the village of Yzgant in the Geokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat.
The first lesson of the new school year will be devoted to the topic “The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi” and the country’s achievements over 33 years of independence.
Particular attention is paid to first-graders: all first-grade students will be given “Bilimli” computers as a gift on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the high organizational level of events dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, and gave appropriate instructions on preparations for the start of the new academic year.
