A solemn event dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the creation of the People’s Liberation Army of China was held in Ashgabat. The reception was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan and brought together representatives of both countries, the Turkmenportal correspondent reports.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Turkmenistan Dovran Durdyev congratulated the Chinese side on this significant event, emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations, which cover the political, economic, cultural and military-technical spheres. He noted that thanks to the efforts and care of the leaders of the two countries, Turkmen-Chinese relations continue to improve and strengthen day by day.
The military attache of the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan, Huang Lei, emphasized in his speech that the People’s Liberation Army of China, over the 97 years of its existence, has achieved significant successes under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and with the support of the Chinese people. He noted that the army continues to deepen reforms in the field of defense and armed forces, striving to create a comprehensively modernized world-class army by the end of this century.
Huang Lei also emphasized that China has always been a peace builder and a reliable force for maintaining international order. He expressed confidence in the further development of military cooperation between China and Turkmenistan, aimed at jointly confronting regional security challenges.
