Charlotte Dujardin, Britain's three-time Olympic dressage champion, has been disqualified from competing in the 2024 Olympics. The reason was a video of an athlete cruelly treating a horse. Information about this was published by The Telegraph newspaper, citing the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).

According to the report, Dujardin was filmed striking the animal 24 times with a whip. The footage was provided to the FEI by an anonymous witness represented by lawyer Stefan Wensing. According to the lawyer, his client, who is one of the champion's sponsors, witnessed the incident several years ago during training that Dujardin conducted with a novice rider.

39 years old Charlotte Dujardin is known as Britain's most decorated athlete in terms of the number of Olympic medals. She shares the lead in this achievement with cyclist Laura Kenny.
