Lin, a former employee of a tech company, decided to radically change his life by leaving his usual job and immersing himself in the world of e-commerce fruits. But not ordinary ripe fruits, but unripe green bananas with stalks.
It would seem, who needs inedible bananas? However, Lin caught on to the growing trend on social networks and offered customers not just a fruit, but an entire experience: the opportunity to grow a banana themselves at home, watching the process of its ripening in a vase of water.
Collaborating with Alibaba's Tao factory in March this year, updating packaging and selling special vases along with motivational cards led to a sharp increase in sales.
