Turkmenistan took part in the meeting on Asia-Pacific shipping in Pattaya

Representatives of the “Turkmendenizderyayollary” Agency (“Sea and river routes of Turkmenistan”) took part in a meeting of a group of autonomous experts in the field of shipping of the Asia-Pacific region, which was held in the city of Pattaya, the Kingdom of Thailand.

According to the IIC, the meeting was aimed at exchanging best practices and discussing current issues in the development of autonomous shipping.

Within the framework of this, the possibilities of implementing a regional project for the development of autonomous shipping were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of ensuring the safety of ships through the use of new autonomous technologies in their construction and the prevention of environmental pollution.

The participants got acquainted with the activities of the Pattaya port terminals. In particular, we visited the port of Laem Chabang, located in the province of Chonburi, 25 km north of Pattaya. This is the country's largest port, which is among the top world's largest seaports.
