Huge hammerhead sharks, known for their aggressiveness, have been spotted off the coast of Gran Canaria, Spain.
For safety reasons, authorities were forced to close three popular swimming beaches. It was reported that sharks not only cruised along the coastline, approaching boats and vacationers, but also made attempts to attack people on the shore. This is reported by KP.RU with reference to the SHOT Telegram channel.
Rescuers, having warned people, have cordoned off the beaches and are monitoring sharks using drones. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties at this time.
It is worth noting that the size of some individuals of hammerhead sharks exceeds 3 meters in length.
