For students of the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev, with the participation of the Center for Turkmen Language and Culture of the university, cultural and creative evenings, poetic meetings dedicated to the life and work of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi were organized.
At the poet's monument in Astrakhan, ASU students - citizens of Turkmenistan - read the poet's poems in Turkmen and Russian, and also talked about his life and work.
The action was included in a series of events organized by ASU within the framework of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet and thinker, according to the university’s website.
Reading Magtymguly’s poems has become a good tradition for Turkmen students who receive higher education within the walls of ASU.
