An international forum on architectural art was held in Ashgabat

The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Architecture is a man-made art in construction” was held at the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

As TDH reports, the forum, organized by the Ministry of Education jointly with the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi, widely celebrated this year, and the upcoming Science Day, which is celebrated in the country on June 12.

Heads and professors of the largest specialized universities from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, the Russian Federation, Turkey and other countries, as well as representatives of international organizations and well-known construction companies operating in Turkmenistan.

The speakers noted in their reports that, in accordance with the requirements, exclusively high-quality materials are used in the construction and finishing of all buildings and structures erected in the country, most of which are made from local raw materials. When selecting them, climatic conditions, compliance with environmental standards, durability and ease of use must be taken into account.

Particular attention was focused on the theme of the rich and multifaceted heritage of the Turkmen people, who gave the world unique cultural and historical monuments that became examples of ancient architectural art, testifying to the high skill of local builders.

Many foreign participants of the forum devoted their reports to the traditions and features of the architectural art of their peoples, innovations of modern urban planning and the latest technological developments, which are actively being implemented in different countries.

The topical issues raised during the discussion related to the formation of a comfortable urban environment, landscape design, as well as increasing the efficiency of architectural and construction education and the training of future high-level specialists aroused increased interest.

The conference continued in four sections, the names of which determine the topics of the planned discussions: “Architectural innovations, new materials and technologies”, “Prospects for the development of architectural and construction education”, “Preservation of identity and historical and cultural heritage”, “Issues of sustainable urban development”.

The reports and scientific articles of the forum participants were included in a separately published collection.

An extensive cultural program is provided for foreign guests, including sightseeing tours and familiarization with new buildings and the main attractions of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
