The Turkmen delegation explored the possibilities of cooperation with a US university in the field of horse breeding

A delegation from the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding from Turkmenistan visited the city of Wilmore in Kentucky, USA, with the aim of establishing cooperation with Asbury University in the field of horse breeding.

The delegation included Ambassador Meret Orazov, Vice-Rector Seitmyrat Atayev, as well as horse breeder and trainer Aman Bashimov. They held discussions with Asbury University leadership, including President Kevin Brown, Provost Sherri Powers, Equestrian Program Director Harold Rainwater and other staff.

The meetings discussed potential cooperation in the field of equine breeding, development of a memorandum of understanding, exchange of curricula, internships, joint research and professional development. The Turkmen side made a presentation about its academy and achievements in horse breeding.

Ambassador Meret Orazov provided a substantive overview of the state policy of Turkmenistan aimed at further developing the horse breeding industry, preserving and promoting the famous Ahal-Teke horse breed and training professionals in this field.

Vice-Rector Seyitmyrat Atayev presented a detailed overview of the recently opened Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding in the city of Arkadag, highlighting its modern capabilities and educational approach.

Aman Bashimov shared the achievements of the national equestrian games group “Galkynysh”, known for its successes in the international arena.

The delegation visited the Asbury University Equestrian Center, as well as the Kentucky Horse Park and the American Saddlebred Horse Museum. The visit concluded with a mutual desire for further partnership between the two institutions in the field of horse breeding. The Turkmen delegation also invited the leadership of the American university to visit Turkmenistan.
