Russia is ready for joint cultural projects with Turkmenistan. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Andrey Malyshev in a conversation with SNG.Today on the sidelines of the ministerial conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi in Ashgabat.
In particular, the official noted such areas of interaction as film production and joint exhibition projects.
“Two countries with great cultural heritage have something to cooperate in”, - Malyshev noted.
He emphasized that for many years, cross Culture Days have been held between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, within the framework of which concerts, theater and musical events are organized.
“Now we want to focus on the cinema that is developed in Russia, because today we have something to offer our friends. More than 200 full-length films are currently being produced in Russia. We have a film product to bring to friendly Turkmenistan, which we, of course, intend to do and develop”, - said the deputy minister.
At the same time, the deputy minister noted that exhibition projects can be carried out both in Russia and Turkmenistan.
He also noted the positive dynamics of bilateral consultative meetings regarding the construction of a new theater building named after A.S. Pushkin in Ashgabat, expressing confidence that they will contribute to the speedy start of construction.
Andrey Malyshev also reminded the meeting of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the conductor, head of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi theaters Valery Gergiev.
“Dear Arkadag invited Gergiev on tour to Turkmenistan. I highly hope that we will be able to implement this in the very near future”, - Malyshev expressed hope.
