Charymurat Kurbanov ended his career as a football referee

Charymurat Kurbanov, one of the most famous Turkmen FIFA referees, announced the end of his refereeing career, Jankoyer reports.

During his career spanning more than 20 years, 46 years old Kurbanov officiated at World Cup qualifying matches, prestigious international tournaments such as the Turkmenistan President's Cup, AFC Cup, AFC President's Cup, international friendlies and the Asian Games.

In his farewell match as the chief referee, Kurbanov led the referee team to the meeting of the 15th round of the Major League of Turkmenistan between the clubs “Ahal” and “Nebitchi” (4:0).

A native of the city of Baharden, Baharly etrap, Ahal velayat, Charymurat Kurbanov was born on December 5, 1977. He is a graduate of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports. Since 2003, Kurbanov began refereeing international matches and during his career worked more than 700 matches as the chief referee, the source notes.
